During the Spring–Summer 2026 Paris Fashion Week, Carel crafted the shoes for Alphonse MAITREPIERRE'srunway show, marking the third irresistible collaboration between the two Houses.

Presented at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs as part of the exhibition dedicated to Paul Poiret, the "En plein cœur"collection provided the perfect stage for Carel's arty-inspired footwear.

The collection was designed entirely using deadstock materials and certified fabrics in partnership with NONA Source. This shared commitment to creating fashion that is both responsible and joyful has brought the two Houses together since the very beginning of their collaboration.

For this project, Carel revisited its own heritage. Since 1978, the House has explored the world of animal-inspired footwear, born from founder Georges Carel's passion for Fables de La Fontaine. Two whimsical costume jewelry pieces were set as eyes, bringing a playful touch to this charming bestiary.

Alphonse MAITREPIERRE embraces this heritage and reinterprets it in his own signature way: 2 animals, 4 styles, one cool, pop, and offbeat spirit.
